God is spirit: a creative, unifying, omnipotent force throughout the universe. God is neither exclusively male nor female, but is everything that ever was and will be. God is everything present and always available.
God has no preferences and therefore does not favor any person, culture, or value system over another; In other words, God is no respecter of person; God is present and working in the Jewish synagogue, Muslim masjid, Buddhist temple, indigenous rituals, ancient African worship, and any other place where God's love is invoked. We reject religious arrogance fundamentalism. No one faith has a patent on God.
God is a benevolent force; therefore God is good all the times; often human beings cannot comprehend the ways of the universe; but the intentions of God are always good. God is love and that love is perfected in us all (see 1st John 4:16-17). Anything that does not promote care and love is not of God.
Jesus is the son of God, among many sons and daughters. Scripture teaches that we are all God's offspring (see Acts 17:28-29). Jesus was a prophet and Saviour who came to earth for a specific mission: to bring hope to a dying world. His mission is still relevant for us today. His work continues through our effort in His name.
Racism, classicism, sexism, homophobia, and all other forms of discrimination and bias, are not of God because they cause immense harm and pain in the world.
The bible is an important spiritual and historical book, but it is neither the complete nor the inerrant word of God. The bible must be read and interpreted in its proper historical context and with a critical thought process. However, the spiritual truths of the bible are relevant throughout eternity, as are the same spiritual truths revealed in many other sacred text and writings.
